The future of 3D printing is in another dimension

4D printing is a method created to push the boundaries of what is possible with a 3D printer. The term was first coined in a TED Talk by Skylar Tibbits , an associate professor of architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Put simply, the method uses 3D printing to make a flat map of an object.
