Zip manufacturer YKK Europe now 3D printing prototypes and spare parts

YKK Europe, a haberdashery manufacturer of zips, hook-and-loop tapes, plastic buckles, snaps and buttons is now using a Stratasys Object 350 Connex 3D printer for fast R&D and prototyping. YKK, based in Runcorn, Cheshire, UK, is 3D printing die-block inserts for injection molding, oversize zip teeth, slider mechanisms, and spare parts.
